The Percy Arms, Surrey
A major refurbishment was undertaken after a serious fire. I was asked to help redesign the restaurant areas and advise on paint schemes, source fabrics and furniture to create a smart restaurant alongside a locals bar with cosy corners expected in a traditonal country pub. A mixture of quirky furniture alongside antiques with kilim fabrics, wool tartans and handmade leather furniture and accessories meant that the South African owners stayed true to their routes.
5 new letting rooms were created all totally individual two of which have free standing roll top baths. Colonial furniture and safari styling alongside warm colours enhance each room - please see their website to view
17th Century Cottage, Surrey
A 16th century cottage on a village green - I worked closely with Cable Country Homes who produced and project managed this stunning barn extension to offer a new kitchen - dining area and snug which has transformed the living areas of this building.
My remit was to design and make a contemporary kitchen - advise on paint colours, flooring, granite ideas and soft furnishings - to design and offer bespoke furniture to suit the styling and space in both the dining areas and the snug.
This kitchen was totally bespoke and painted on site - the barn definately has provided an amazing space with the WOW factor my clients requested.
Victorian House, Chiddingfold
A total refurbishment of a substantial Victorian house. This was a speculative development by Cable Country Homes who painstakingly restored this house to its former glory.
The kitchen was created by Bryan Turner Kitchens who worked closely with me on the design features and colours - Handpainted in Fired Earth and Farrow and Ball paint schemes with antique furniture sourced and reupholstered to suit the magnificent conservatory end.
Bathrooms were a mix of the old and the new and wherever possible the traditional and original features in all areas of the house were kept and restored.
I undertook the sourcing of all materials the choice of paint colours, fabrics and furniture including fireplaces bathroom designs and lighting to complete the restoration project.
Converted Finca, Mallorca
A new venture for me - discovering an old animal shelter in a valley in Mallorca and working closely with architects there to enlarge and remodel the existing to create a brand new finca using natural stone but offering a totally contemporary interior.
New Build, Surrey/Sussex Border
This house was created 10 years ago and was the feature of a magazine article showing that if you have the committment and the enthusiasm to create a new building from genuine antique materials you can achieve the best of both worlds - modern conveniences in a 17th century building.
A labour of love by my husband and myself sourcing every item from individual craftsmen with miles of legwork undertaken in architectural salvage yards and many hours spent on the small details - discovering paint pigments - designing stained glass features and producing a genuine inglenook of huge proportions that actually never smoked!! The result.... well take a look!
